So i try to go to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) at least once a year, because somewhere inside of me is still a big kid who wants to go on kiddie rides, eat cotton candy and win stuffed animals.
Unfortunately this year was pretty rushed. We didn't have time to go over to the Ontario Place, or go on kiddie rides. We walked around, played some games and did a bit of shopping.
We went to the Sand scultptures exhibition where amazing people make these awesome, extremely detailed sculptures out of just sand.
Aren't they amazing?
The boyfriend also won me a GIANT karate Domo! I loveeeeee <3 But i wanted the naked domo with the round eyes instead of this angry domo with karate clothes. I went around to a few other vendors that had the same prizes but they didn't exchange it for me, which i thought was pretty mean. Oh well, i'm growing to like this angry domo, it's okay.
See that booth behind me? I was so tempted to try the deep fried mars bar or deep fried twinkie, but the boyfriend does not believe in unhealthy carnival foods so i didn't get to try :( See, even Domo isn't happy about it.
I wish i went again before they closed but there was no time. I will make better time next year for sure!
Domo wearing seat-belt =) |
Everyone loves domo! lol I don't really like him. I went last Thursday and it was rushed too. Had a deep fried onion, walked around and gambled. We got there at 9:30 pm and left before 12. I wanted to try the deep fried cola and butter! lol. It sounds absolutely disgusting but everyone keeps talking about it. I heard they had Timmie doughnut burger. They do it up with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. LOL. Oh well. Next year maybe I can see someone eat that.
ReplyDeleteAw, sucks that they wouldn't exchange him but he's still cute. *^_^* Those sand sculptures are sooo amazing! Hope you can indulge in carnival food next year. Just tell your bf it's a once a year thing so it's not so bad. ;)
