My boyfriend picked me up for dinner after he got off work. He surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses=) I know roses are such a waste of money, but c'mon, who doesn't like receiving roses? Especially on Valentine's Day.
The traffic on our way downtown was terrible, i think it was because it was Valentine's Day because there weren't any accidents that we could see. It took us nearly an hour to get to the restaurant.
He took me to a nice little restaurant called Lucien, it is supposedly a very popular restaurant in Toronto. Their menu is small, but very specialized. They are most popular for their slow cooked pork tongue. I know, sounds gross right? But seriously, if you don't know what it is, the taste is quite interesting.

After dinner, we drove back uptown and just sat at the closest McDonald's for some ice cream sundaes to end the night. It's the simple things that really matter and the most joyful. There was a couple in front of us that kept starring as we exchanged gifts and there was a boy holding a bouquet of roses by the door waiting for his girlfriend. It was so sweet. It's really nice to have some time to relax and just enjoy the company of your loved one. I wish we both weren't so busy to have more of these simple days.
