A dear friend

My dear friend Fion is leaving the country. It's very sad indeed. Friends leave me one by one. Her husband is in Hong Kong, and it's only the right thing to do. I met her in College, i remember she came up to me to ask me for an assignment, and since then we were always together in school until we graduated. She is my very mature yet childish friend. She is my very busy friend who seldom has time to pick up her phone, and when i catch her at a time that she does, i'm very lucky.

I'm very fortunate to have met such a wonderful person in my life, she is such a sweet sweet beautiful person in every way possible.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the maid of honor at your wedding. It was fun shopping for your wedding dress and looking at bridesmaid dresses with you. you've also introduced me to your wonderful fun family. Conversing and eating ice cream with your mom made me feel mature. Thank you for all the fun times together in school and then after; and most of all, thanks for being such a good friend.

Me and the beautiful bride in 2009

Of course, this is not the end. I will visit you in Hong Kong in November 2011 and you said you will visit in August 2011. Keep in touch! Looking forward to your going away karaoke party and the weekend trip to Buffalo before you leave.

Love you lots! I WILL MISS YOU A LOT FION JEI JEI!!!!!!

Fondue

Hun took me to Beer Bistro, the place where i missed for Cindy's Birthday :( I was dyinggggg to try cheese fondue, if anyone knows other places that has cheese fondue, please tell me.

The cheese fondue there was...very salty...too "aged" for my liking. And we only got to dip bread, that got hard a little too quickly...i have to say we wasted almost half of it...I liked the time when we had cheese fondue at Jaymie's place, it taste better with veggie varieties and meat, not just bread. I want to find a place that does that. Until then, i think i'm stuck with the oh so heavenly chocolate fondue. But i will only enjoy that myself since hun has something against chocolate...

Salty heavy goodness

Shopping Splurges

I'm sure all girls are born with the same interests, the same wants, the same needs. And i'm pretty sure God has put us girls on Earth to Shop. What girl hasn't ever gone out and "shop until she dropped" or go on wild shopping splurges. Be it she's happy, she's upset, or she's bored. The one thing we want to do is spend money, and spend it shamelessly!

Been cleaning my room recently and i find a lot of random items in my room that i can remember exactly how it got there. I can tell you that 70% of these random objects are because of impulsiveness. It's not like i'll get rid of them, no not at all. Each one has a story. Some things i look at and wonder "what possess me to buy this ****", other things were because they were cute or pretty or they seemed useful at that moment, but once you throw it around and loose it and then end up finding it in a corner somewhere again, you remember why you fell in love with it in the first place.

Our helmet brand
Was at the Snowboarding and Ski show this weekend, first time being there. There was actually a lot to look at, so much in every corner, so many colors that it made me crossed-eye. I didn't manage a snowboard this year but i did manage to get a helmet and a pair of gloves. Now that I've seen what type of things they offer and their price ranges, i'll defiantly get one next year at the show. I wasn't able to get a pair of goggles which is kind of bad since i need those and those aren't rent-able. I'll have to find a pair before snow falls.

Bike show?

They had a show going on with i think mountain bikes? It seemed interesting, but as always i'm too short to actually see what's going on, so my attention span towards it wasn't very long. And i wasn't able to get a good shot of the bikers going left and right across the rink, so this crappy shot will have to do. You get the idea right? They should have done a mock snowboarding one, even skateboard would have did fine, but bikes? How does that relate to winter sports?

Our shopping bags from the show
I never thought my head would be a Medium...

Out of the box
Shiny black
The gloves i bought. Love them! they have a leather palm and it can turn into a  finger glove for easy moving.
Even has a zipper pocket for hiding goodies!
Vector for the win!

Oh here's a random picture of Vector's cereal. We were going into CNE grounds towards the better living center when there was a huge crowed coming through. Seems they had just finished watching a baseball game at the big BMO field. There were a lot of people with giant boxes just handing out miniature boxes of Vector's cereal, so i'm thinking, what the heck, this stuff is good! Gonna grab a few. We actually got a lot since every 10 seconds of walking through the crowd, someone hands us another box. So we were munching on the way. I wish i wasn't Lactose intolerant, or else i'll eat this stuff everyday for breakfast...not forgetting fruit loops, honey combs and other children cereals i adore so much.

I've also purchased some random things throughout the week, let me show you my random splurges:

Ole Henriksen- Sheer transformation from Sephora: This stuff is amazing, feels like silk on your face!

Ole Henriksen- Aloe Vera deep cleanser

Smells like mouthwash...but it cleans off grime good

B. Kamins- Matte Moisturizer with SPF 15: Good for Day wear, however  has a bit of sunscreen texture...
Nina by Nina Ricci (mini sample)

Love Love Love this apple smell and the apple shape
Picked up a box of green tea bags from shoppers, planning to drink 3 glasses a day to detox.
And of course i had to pick up an issue of Cosmopolitan as well since Katy Perry is on the cover.
Lastly, purchased two of my favorite movies online at the cineplex store to add to my collection. Got bonus scene points to boot! Yeah baby!

Turkey Day

Happy belated thanksgiving everyone! It's the time of the year where families get together and be thankful for what we have. I felt joyous yesterday for being able to eat together with the entire family at the same table, because that doesn't happen a lot in this family.
I decided to make a real Thanksgiving dinner very last minute, we haven't made an actual turkey for years and years, so the night before, i went out to the superstore to buy a turkey, mash potatoes and gravy among other things. Although i wanted an over exaggerated thanksgiving dinner but my family doesn't eat a lot, so these few items will have to do.
Jacky came over to spend most of thanksgiving with me, unfortunately he couldn't stay to have dinner with us, he had be home for his own dinner.
Started preparing the turkey at around 12pm, then it was time to wait for the long 6.5 hours for it to roast. I get all excited take a peak through the oven window every 30 minutes.

My dad was helping Jacky repair is leaking tire, the boy ran over a massive nail and it was leaking air. It was as such a nice day outside, a bit chilly but it really felt like autumn, especially with all the pretty colorful leaves.

Later in the evening, i made the mash potatoes and the gravy and finally the turkey was ready, dinner was finally served at around 8:30ish, everyone was starving from all the waiting. It wasn't anything big, but i'm glad it was successful.

Straight out of the oven

Nice and juicy

Lots of stuffing

Time to serve

And of course, thanksgiving dinner has no meaning without a glass of wine for a toast!

A lot of people already went apple picking this year, we also went the day before thanksgiving. Haven't been for a while, we picked a lot of apples! 2 giant bags actually, one bag of green and one bag of red. We went pretty late into the season, a lot has already been picked already.

Waiting to ride the wagon!

no one listens!

Got a yummy pumpkin pie=)

So many wasted apple on the floor
Time for a rest

The red ones were pretty sweet

Funny looking things

Debated on taking one home and making jackolantern

The big giant ones

Mario Badescu

THANK YOU Mario Badescu for sending these wonderful wonderful mini samples of your wonderful wonderful products!!! I've been using the Drying lotion for the longest time and it had worked nicely because of the calamine and salicylic acid. Here's what they sent me:

1. Special Cucumber lion: this is a toner, i just don't like the yellow color.
2. Enzyme cleansing gel: It's a non foaming face wash, personally i prefer foaming ones, this one feels like theres nothing on my face.
3. Strawberry Face scrub: This one feels like the Laniege strawberry yogurt scrub, and it smells almost alike. It does remove a lot of dead skin as well.
4. Drying Mask: This stuff is really good, it dries really quickly and you are supposed to leave it on your skin for 20 minutes. The only thing i absolutely hate about this stuff is the smell! It smells horrible, it must be the sulfer since it's made with sulfer. However i do prefer sulfer over salicylic acid since it's more gentle for the skin.
5. Collagen Moisturizer SPF 15: This is a daytime moisturizer, it's pretty smooth i like it.
6. Hyaluronic Eye cream: This eye cream is a little too thick for me, but maybe it's because i used too much. A little goes a long way.
7. Drying cream: This is to be used after moisturizer and before makeup, but because i'm not very pale, it's difficult for me to blend into my skin so sometimes i'll use it at night.

It's gone!

The black Fringe bag I've been eying at forever from H&M is not in stock anymore, I've checked 4 stores! It's so sad. Goes to say, you should always purchase whatever your eyes falls in love with at first sight or else you will never see it again. Should have done that, so i don't have to feel like crap over one bag!
