The Body Shop Haul

I stepped into The body Shop yesterday and the lady at the door handed me a peel a deal coupon thing. So mine was "Take $20 off purchase $40 or more". So i'm thinking "Sweeeeeeeeet!".
There were a few things that i really liked that i wanted more of and some things that i just wanted to try out.

I'm absolutely in love with their Tea Tree line after purchasing their small Tea Tree set a few months back. I especially love their Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner so this time i just had to buy the giant bottle.  It Mattify's my face very well and makeup goes on so much better, and it also takes off the dirt as well.

I got the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser to try out, and so far it feels very nice. I don't really mind the smell of Tea Tree, i know it can be quite strong for others.

The Vitamin E Moisture Cream is for my mom since she always steals my moisturizers to use. I got use to buying her random moisturizers from high end to lower end to try out. I did try it on my hand though and it feels quite nice, i mean, who doesn't love vitamin E. I don't use creams anymore like i used to, i'm more into using essence and serums and have been for the past 6 months. My skin is less dry than it had been before when i used various moisture creams.

I also got two Hemp Hand Protectors, one for me and one for my mom. I have very dry hands, and this thick cream seems to do the trick for me. I have to admit, the smell is not very pleasant but it does do a hell of a good job moisturizing my hands.

Like i said before, i am in love with their Tea Tree skincare line ever since i bough their mini travel pack to try out a few months ago. looks like this:

Comes with a cute bag
What's inside
I bought it when they were on sale for $12, but i think it's back to $25 again.
I think this is such a wonderful line, i'm almost completely done with all these tiny travel size products and my favorite is of course the toner.

This package comes with the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner- Which i love
Tea tree skin clearing facial wash- It's the the facial foam except in gel form. I like the foam one much better
Tea tree skin clearing lotion- I hate this stuff. I mean it mattify's my face so well but it also dries up my face. I guess it will be good for people with oiler skin, but i have combination skin and my face is very dry in the winter, so when i put this stuff on, it accentuates the dryness so horribly.
Tea Tree Oil- I love this stuff. I put it on my discoloration at night and it had somewhat made it become lighter and when i feel acne coming, i just dab some on and it kills the bacteria and *poof* it's gone!

Defiantly worth a try. This line has helped with my acne so much.

Snowboarding

My friends and i went to Blue Mountain for snowboarding over the family day long weekend. Two days of pure snowboarding as its toll on me, i came home with bruises from top to bottom. Mind you, i'm not very good at this wonderful sport, still need loads of practice. With the icy grounds of that day, let's just say Happy valley did not treat me very well. The lift had kicked my butt! Well my hip bone to be exact, i now have a very big black bruise on my hip bone. Both my knees are very bruised and very tender, as well as my elbow where i had fell rather harshly. Other then these noticeable bruises i had obtained, my entire body feels very sore. This is what i get for not working out a lot.

Other than that, i had a wonderful two day trip. The weather was very nice, aside from the severe hard ice on the hills when the sun went down. Us 6 had gotten a large room that fit all of us. We stayed at the Blue Mountain Inn, our room was beautiful! A large living room, a kitchen and two bedrooms with a bathroom as well as two showers. The bf and i had shred the beautiful masters bedroom, with a nice view of pretty ladies going into the outdoor hot tub lol.

The first day was pretty good, after the long day of snowboarding, we went back to our room and did hot pot for dinner. We had brought all the food and even the pot so we can do hot pot. It was fun and perfect after a day in the cold. We had a nice relaxing night of eating, watching movies and playing cards.

We woke up pretty early the next day since they all wanted to hit the hills early morning, but i was still very sore and my knees and elbows were still in pain from the previous day, so unfortunately for me, i called it quits after around 2 hours of snowboarding. I went off on my own to explore the village while the others continued to snowboard. I never really fully explored the village before, and it is actually quite nice, also very romantic to take a stroll with your significant other. There are sweet spots where the view is gorgeous and many shops and restaurants as well. While i was alone, i enjoyed a chocolate and banana beaver tail. It was so good!

These mini trips are so good, i wish i didn't have to leave so soon. It always sucks coming home and then having to work again, following that same routine over and over again. Can't wait for the next trip, whenever that may be.

I scratched my goggles when i fell :( Only used it twice too! :(

Shoes Shoes Shoes!

So i had a day off this week, so i went to the mall by myself to do some browsing and shopping. Costa Blanca X were having some sales with their shoes ans i snagged not one pair, but two pairs!! Awesome deals!

Freaking high beige heels

You know...i probably won't wear these a lot, and i'm talking probably 2-3 times a year because i have weird feet and standing in heels that high for even 20 minutes, my feet will be in pain for the reminder of the week. But i never had a beige colored shoe and it was only $21.95! How could i resist???? And look at the animal print? I lope animal prints!

Taupe colored heels
Again, i probably would wear these only a few times a year due to the height of the heels, but i thought these were sort of cute. Taupe colored with a unique flower pattern. These were only $19.99, again, how could i resist such an amazing deal when these were originally $60.

So what is it with girls and shoes? I dunno, it's a drug! IT'S AN ADDICTION!!! I have over 50 pairs of shoes at homer and i probably don't even wear half of them in a whole year. Collection purposes i guess, just like how we are with purses and bags.

Sportcheck was having a store closing sale at Scarborough Town Centre, i wanted to buy new snow pants and jacket for snowboarding but they had nothing! So empty! Good news is they are opeing a Forever XXI in STC in Fall 2011! And it looks like it's going to be huge! So excited!

Valentine's Day

Happy Belated Valentines Day Everyone!

How was your Valentine's Day? This ridiculously over rated day that 70% of the population hate?

Mine was okay, it wasn't big at all. Seeing as Valentine's was on a Monday this year, there really isn't a lot we could have done since we both had to work and that pretty much takes up half our day.

As a traditional gentlemanly gesture for men, my bf showed up at my door yesterday with a bouquet of roses <3 I love flowers, they are just so beautiful to look at and they smell wonderful. I never throw them out, i like to let them dry so i can still look at them, that is unless they start to get too moldy where they attract bugs. That is when it's time to go.

pink roses <3

We went to "The Keg Mansion" for dinner, it's a very nice place and at night it looks really pretty. Pity that it was so cold, couldn't stay to take more photos. Isn't was ginormous but it was very packed yesterday night so i couldn't "explore"

Keg ceaser
My new York striploin
Cherry cheesecake whip desert (yuck!)
Bf's 12oz T bone steak
Sp after dinner, we went to Ellington town center to watch a movie. We watched "No strings attached" a cute chick flick movie. Can never get enough of them! It even made me tear for a second, i love movies that makes me cry! But then again, anything can make me cry. There really isn't an off switch for my tears.

So apparently, for valentines day, we somehow had the same idea to make each other a cake. A cheesecake to be exact. Coincidence much?

This is the cheesecake he made me, so pretty!

blueberry cheesecake
And this is the cheesecake i made him, so very ugly compared to his:

Heart shaped new york cheesecake
So we went pack to the parking lot and opened both our cakes after steeling some forks from the nearby metro. We wanted to eat some cake after the movie.

So over all it was a nice quiet Valentines day.
The main thing to remember for Valentines day is to NEVER EVER expect anything. Once you start having expectations, it will ruin the lovely day once it doesn't go to your liking. Flowers and dinner are a given but son't expect anything more than that. Don't expect any bling bling or materialistic things because you will only be disappointed. Just let the day come as it will and enjoy it with the one you love.
Also, Valentine's isn't the only day you should express the way you feel about the one you love or make him/her feel special, if you really care about someone, that should show everyday, spontaneously. I never liked Valentine's Day, i still don't. But when you're in a relationship, somehow you feel mentally obligated to celebrate this day, and when you do you have expectations. And i hate that feeling, so like i said, just remember not to expect ANYTHING, and you will have a great one!

Cheers everyone!

Review: MANDOM Cleansing Express

So what is this stuff?

These are makeup removers by the brand MANDOM (from Japan), and by far the BEST makeup removers I've ever tried. EVER!
You can't really see it on the picture, but I've completely finished The Cleansing Express Moist (the white bottle) and i'm on my second bottle, but this time I've decided to try the Cleansing Express Sebum (the green bottle) for Oil control. I like them both so far.
This stuff works miracles, i just pump 2-3 pumps on a cotton pad and one wipe across my eyes and takes off all my eye makeup already. And with 3-4 cotton pads, it completely takes off all my makeup, foundation included and leaves my face feeling fresh and so hydrated. It does not leave my face feeling dry or that tight feeling afterwards. Best part is, you don't have to rinse it off afterwards. Just wipe and you're done.
No need to worry about your eyes because it does not sting at all. This stuff looks and feels exactly like water and it is unscented.

It states:

- Perfect for sensitive skin
- No preservatives
- No fragrance
- No colorant
- No Alcohol
- No Oil
- Allergy tested

And what's the best part about all this? It comes with a  PUMP! Don't we all love pumps? Not only that, it comes with a pump stopper thing, so you can just throw it in your bag when you're travelling without having to worry it might explode or leak in your bag or something disastrous like that.

It says "Ready for bed as soon as possible", and it's really true to word. It cleans up the makeup and dirt on your face so well that you don't even need to use a cleanser afterwards. Perfect for those nights when you are just too tired to go through all that nightly face routine. You can just wipe off all your makeup, use a toner if you wish, put on your nightly moisturizer and go to sleep.

How i like to do it is i completely take off all my makeup using this cleansing lotion and afterwards, go over my face once more with a light cleanser with my clarisonic (only because i'm really picky about my face especially when i'm acne prone, i want to make sure EVERYTHING on my face is off). Afterwards, i apply toner followed by my moisturizer.

This holy goodness can be purchased at http://www.imomoko.com/
They have different kinds as well such as one that contains Q10, but so far I've only tried these two. On the site, they sell it for $14.99 but i got mine at an Asian mall that sells Japanese products for $20 (Pacific Mall). Just because i'm too impatient to wait for it to be shipped.

Happy Chinese New Years!

新年快樂 everybody!!!

恭喜發財!

Wishing everybody 萬事如意 and 心想事成!

So it's a tradition to give money in red pockets during this time of year. Usually from elderlies, married adults, married adults with children, your parents, and business customers and alike as a sign of good luck and good fortune.

This morning when i woke up, i discovered to red pockets under my pillow left from my mom and dad like htey do every year =)

It's like the red pocket fairy!
And of course, my mom makes all these New year type foods that lasts us for days. Didn't really go all out like she does every year due to work being busy but it was still very filling.

There were more, but i was hungry!
Home made shark fin soup
Siu yook
Pig feet with "fat choi" and mushrooms
Chicken chicken

And that's all. Hope everyone have a wonderful year of the bunny!
