***********************************************************************

Yesterday we went to the cavalcade of lights 2010. It was packed! I felt like a sardine packed into a sardine can with other sardines!! Okay...maybe that wasn't exactly the right image i want you to imagine but it was packed! We had dinner in Eaton Centre at Mr. Greenjeans. Waited half an hour for a table, the entire mall was filled with people doing their holiday shopping. Afterwards we walked over to Nathan Philip Sq for the celebration. Saw Shawn Desmond and Divine Brown's performance. It was spectacular....well as spectacular as it can get for a very short performance. But the fireworks was amazingggggg, though it hurt my neck because i was so close and it was so packed and the guy in front of me was too tall so i always had to stretch my head forward and on my toes. All good though, the Christmas tree was purteeee, i wish i could skate so i could skate at night with the DJ playing music. Unfortunately i didn't get to take any pictures of last night because it was too packed to move.

Today, we went to watch Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows. We went all the way to etobicoke for the GIANT cineplex theatre to watch it D-BOX style. It was expensive! Like 20 dollars a ticket expensive. But they are reserved seats. So what it is, it's a special one roll only at the top of the theater and the chair moves with the movie and vibrates. Sort of like those motion movies you see at amusement parks, but this was for the entire movie. Felt like a massage chair, very comfortable. I will defiantly go back to this theater for the second part. Can't wait, the first one was good, but not a lot of action, but everything leads up to the last part where it will be filled with nothing but action! So sad when Dobby died, he was always the comic relief and the stuff he says are sooo funny. So saddd! Need to read the last book again, almost forgot what happens.

We also went to the snowboarding clearance sale at airport road in Sheridan 4 points hotel. It was a tiny room, but i did manage to finally buy a pair of goggles. Next year will defiantly buy a board...if that is i'm still up for snowboarding. I get all excited and stuff but then when i'm actually there, i get all afraid of lifts and stuff. That's because i'm no where near pro, and i can't balance for beans. Just gotta get used to it.

Day 14- A picture of you and your family

Jeez i just realized i don't have a lot of family portraits, this is the only one i found where we're all in it together. Sadness. That's it, gotta whip my camera out and take more!

Lol, not even half the people on my mom's side. Still missing A LOT!

Okay i have no idea who that kid in the red gap shirt is, but ya know...somewhere along the family tree line, i'm probably related to you somehow...everyone else..."WHATUP FAMSHIP! HIGHFIVE!*

Oh my dear cousins whom i grew up with ever since i was crawling in diapers. Cousin Robin, Andrew, and Helen

Ooo can't forget cousin Stephen (Helen's younger bro)
My cute little MAMA with cousin Jimmy and Wilson

Other pic with my cam whoring partner in crime. Love ya babes!
And there is still 50+ more that i have missed, way too many to count. It's crazy!

Day 13- A letter to someone who has hurt you recently

None of you will ever read this, and if it weren’t for this post question, I wouldn’t be thinking so much into it anyways.

The past few years have been lies. I felt like I had met great people and had made great caring life friends. I was always excited about monthly gatherings and their birthdays and talking about random things on the phone, on MSN. But in a blink of an eye, it’s all over. And no matter how much I cry over this issue or be sad about it, it’s not going to change the fact that it had happened and to know that I really didn’t have anyone on my side to begin with. I was really sad, and I felt really lonely and betrayed, but it’s been nearly half a year now and I think I’m really starting to feel better about all that’s happened. Sure, it lingers in my mind a lot, but then when I think logically, “friends forever” never happens. Nobody will waste time on someone they don’t care about; people drop each other like flies all the time. I am thankful for all the happy times, but then I really wish this would have happened to me sooner, that way I wouldn’t have to waste so much of my life on friendships that weren’t going to last.
And during all this, I really do I have to thank my loving boyfriend who was there for me during all the teary moments and all the heartache. He was the only one who was actually concerned and tried his best to talk to me and comfort me. No other friend did anything, but then again, you won’t understand the feeling unless you experience it for yourself. No one except for one co-worker who actually showed more concern than anyone else that I’ve known longer. I guess that really shows what kind of person I am as well. I’m not good with having close friendships, and you know, I probably won’t ever have any BFF’s in my life either. Life certainly has been a lot quieter than it had been before, and I certainly feel as though I myself lack a little happiness and enthusiasm that I had been filled with before. And I apologize to those who have been around me during these past 6 months; no one needed the non-uplifting presence. My phone doesn’t really ring anymore, and my inbox is just as boring besides being filled with nothing else but ads. However, despite everything, thank you all for doing what you did, I now realize who my true friends are.  There really isn’t a lot, but then now, I appreciate their existence in my life a lot more than ever. Thank you for the re-evaluation of my life.

Day 12- How you found out about Blogspot and why you made one

Well i always knew about Blogspot, but i had always been using my MSN space for blogging so i didn't create an account, but then i figured MSN space blogs were full of unhappy memories and wanted to start something new. I like this much better anyways, uploading pictures and layout-ing is so much easier than it was with MSN space. Blogging has always been one of my favorite pass times, i express myself best when it's written and described in words. I used to write in my diary every night, but then it was a hassle when i run out of pages and it's very tiring on the fingers especially when i write a lot, and i'm so old school, i don't use a computer for diaries, so then i stopped that. I still write in it from time to time when i have feelings that i cannot let the world know, other than that i guess my life is pretty publicized.
I've tried xanga before as well, but i had a hard time maneuvering all their controls and i wanted to keep things as simple as they can be, for readers and for myself, and i find blogspot to be the easiest so far.

Random add on:

Check out my domo nails!

Using all these colors, i created domo!

Yeah it's a bit ugly, but it's hard painting with a thin brush with shaky hands!

Day 11- Another picture of you and your friends

Polaroid shots (And yes, i am aware that i spelled Rachael's name wrong on the picture)
This was taken during our recent buffalo shopping trip. Fion's leaving for Hong Kong next week, so she decided to have a going away shopping trip. Joy had brought her Polaroid camera, it's so cute, now i want one too =) We took a lot more...20 in total, with really fun poses but i can only show you these so far since i was allowed to keep these three. Got to wait for them to send me pictures=)

The Buffalo trip was really fun, i bought a lot myself too. We went to the fashion outlet, same one that Jacky and I went to last time we were in buffalo. A lot more people there this week than last time we went, it was so packed. I bought a pair of knee high winter boots from Nine West, i really wanted thigh highs, but they all have heels, and i can't wear heels...but this one is nice too. Bought some stuff from DKNY and GAP. There was a huge lineup for Coach, and they were passing out additional 20% off coupons. Jacky got me a medium sized Coach bag for my birthday <3 Thanks. Fion says it makes me look old, but i like it. I really like this other purple colored one too but i can't buy two :( Fion bought a lot of Coach, crazy girl. Me and her both threw away the purse that we brought to Buffalo and used our newly bought ones right away. It was a really long and tiring day. When we finally left, it was dark, but i wanted to go to Target, good thing the GPS was able to locate the nearest Target and we all went crazy with buying stuff in there. Jacky found me awesome Logitech speakers on sale for $12, that's an awesome steal! Next week is black friday and thanksgiving, so there isn't too many sales going on this week. Too bad i can't go back next week :(

This was all on the first day
We got a little lost looking for our hotel, the roads were dark and the highway had no lights. It was pretty scary. But we got there safely but late. We had a late night dinner at the restaurant at the hotel, it was pretty good and walked around and took a lot of pictures. They had a very nice pool area which they made it look like an indoor garden, the balcony from our room see's all of it, pretty nice. Jacky and i shared a room while the other three girls shared another, we had a joint room with them so we could just walk back and forth between the two rooms if we open the inside door. Went to their room after shower and took loads of pictures with Joy's Polaroid camera, it was so fun! And there were so many good movies on at night too, like Narnia II, Elf, Shrek 2, Men in black and some other movies.

Our hotel room with Fion popping in to visit

Next day was cold and rainy. We woke up early to check out and had breakfast at Denny's. After that we drove 2 hours to Waterloo premium outlet mall. I never been to this one before, but it was hugeeeee. But everything is outdoors so it was freezing. It was a Monday so it was pretty empty, better for us i guess. Bumped into Jon while being there, he was with a tour bus shopping as well. I didn't buy too much at this outlet since most of the stores are the same as the ones we went to before. And at this point i felt as though i spent too much already and was really holding back on all the pretty things i saw. We spent practically the whole day there, the girls bought a lot as usual, especially shoes, like timberland and UGGS which they wore right away and threw away their old shoes. The car total, we spent over $1000 already and we thought by wearing some stuff and throwing away some receipts, we could fool them at the border. So when they asked us how much we spent, they told them around $600. They didn't believe us. That is, that lady didn't even check or nothing, just told us to go in and pay taxes. Kinda sucks, spent all this time budgeting and hiding and in the end they didn't even look once and we all had to pay our own individual taxes based on what we bought individually. Taxes were pretty hefty too. Gay, could have bought more, and didn't have to throw away the pretty bags.

Jacky took over driving at Niagara Falls back to home since the girls were tired. We got home pretty quickly and had dinner at some Chinese place. Love these short getaways, but as always, they are never long enough.

Will miss you Fion, have a safe flight!

Well i don't exactly have an idol in the sense that they have a strong impact on me, well except for my late grandfather of whom i absolutely adored! Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of him.... :(

However...growing up, my obsession and idol has always been Sailormoon!...hope that counts.

That's easy.

Of course it's Spiderman!!!

Me, Domo, and spiderman!

Sigh, i blame myself for not taking more and better pictures of such a magical place. But then again, i was lack of a good camera and lack of some basic skills.

Day 04- A habit that you wish you didn’t have

That would be of course my terrible terrible shopping habit...
I'm a terrible impulse buyer, and every free moment i have, i'd like to spend it at the mall. I feel that when you go to a mall, i won't feel satisfy unless i leave with something in my hand.
I have sooo much clothes, three closets full just because i can't fit them all into one. And what's worst, i still have a few items that i bought years ago that still has the price tag on. I'm trying to change this habit, and i think I've improved a lot. I used to always buy useless things that i thought were cute at one point and then i leave it there to collect dust and eventually forget about it. I try to think about it's usefulness now before i purchase i blow my money on them, and i have to admit, it's still very difficult to do.

Recently, well this year especially i have been obsessed with online shopping. I mean when i first started i'd probably buy something online at least once a week. I love the wide selection and just how easy it is. But it's so bad for my wallet when the bill comes. I shop crazier online than at the actual mall, seeing as carrying bags makes me tired whereas shopping online i can just go from site to site. Fabulous. As we speak, i am waiting for 3 packages to arrive that i ordered from the past month...i'm terrible...
Mind you, i do pay my bills on time and always the full amount, but really, it doesn't feel like i'm saving any money. I need to stop this craziness. I'm using paypal now too and that's even easier to checkout! I gave my boyfriend permission to take my US credit card, so my shopping has gone down a little, which is pretty good. I really need to save for December because there will be so much heavy spending that month.

*******************************************************

Watched MEGAMIND today. It was AWESOME!!!! I love it! It is defiantly a must buy for me when it comes out. I want to watch it again already. Such a cute movie. I give it 5 thumbs up!

Day 03- A picture of you and your friends

An old picture of the girlfriends i had for years!!!

My beautiful girls

Can't forget my wonderful friends from TD

Love these beautiful people! Yes Henry, you can be beautiful too.

And the family of wonderful people just keeps growing!

************************************************************************

Just got home from Cindy's Hot Pot get together. Haven't seen the lovely ladies in a while, good to have us all find time to sit with each other at the same table again. Hot Pot was fun, thanks Cindy for generously feeding our hungry hungry tummies. Jaymie and Lorinda had homemade ice cream being prepared right in front of our eyes with an ice cream maker. They made Ferrero Rocher ice cream. Tasted pretty awesome for something that took less than an hour to make. Now i want a ice cream maker. Imagine how fat i would be trying new flavours that i can come up with everyday.

We also opened a bottle of red wine and i had a cup. It was not as strong as i usually have them, which i like, but then i don't really like alcohol in general so after drinking that half cup, i started feeling a little sick. I have such a blehhh stomach. Overall it was a fun night, gotta do it more often.

Day 02- The meaning behind your Blogspot name

There really isn't any meaning behind the "MizzSandyChau". As a matter or fact, i find myself very uncreative by having such a common blog name as to put my own name as the title. *slaps myself on the forehead*, now if any one were to google me full name, they can easily find my blog. Well that isn't very smart on my part. My life is exposed!!!

******************************************************************

On a side note, i went to Guu again yesterday with the BF. My second go this time, determined to try new food and devour their yummy goodness. We got there at 5pm again, and it really wasn't a long wait, i guess not a lot of people goes on Thursdays/remembrance day.

Speaking of remembrance day..."Do you remember?"

Back on topic.

So this is what we ordered yesterday:

Gyu capriccio- Lightly seared marbled beef sashimi
with wasabi mayo

Salmon Natto Yukke- Chopped salmon sashimi with seven friends(Natto, shibazuke, takuan, wonton chips, garlic chips, green onion and raw egg yolk). Mix them up and wrap it in NORI seaweed.

The waiter wrapped one for me =) Love the service!

Kakimayo- Grilled oysters with spinach, garlic mayo and cheese on the top

ENOKI HOTATE BACON- Enoki mushroom and scallop wrapped in bacon with soysauce and mustard mayo

BUTAKIMCHI BIBIMBAP- Rice, spicy ground pork, kimchi, assorted vegetables and an egg in a hot stone bowl

Karaage- Deep fried soysauce marinated chicken served with garlic mayo

This time around...TOO FILLING! i didn't get dessert, i feel empty :(
I think maybe once or twice more of going back, i will have finally tried everything on their menu hahaha!
The first trip was better...i mean food wise. We didn't get anything we got before, and i think last time the food was more savory, this time it was filling like crazy! Still love it though!

Spooky!

Happy Belated Halloween my dears, I hope your Halloween weekend was filled with as much spooky fun and sweets as mine were.

I actually didn't plan on celebrating Halloween...FOR ONCE! Why? Because i didn't have a costume and i didn't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money to get one. However, Sandie had convinced me to go clubbing with her on the 29th at WetBar and so i decided to just put something together from my wardrobe and call myself a cat.

Clubbing at WetBar...how to describe it...

40 minutes wait in line...
1 hour wait for (mandatory) coat check...With ignorant people pushing and shoving while budding....only one girl working, is that not ridiculous???
10 minutes wait just to go upstairs to the top floor...

And by this time, my mood has went down dramatically and all i wanted to do was step on everyone's toes and pull all their noses!!!

But then, good thing the club had really good music and my mood had went back up. It was a lonnnngggggggg night, and i was tired like hell. When we got back to the car, we felt very lucky. We were sandwiched between two cars that got broken into and their windows smashed. ALWAYS leave your junk in the trunk!!!

My put-together-costume: Kitty cat...meowwww

Costume contest: Guy with the shower costume had the best costume
Posing before leaving
meowwww

Then came Halloween day. Didn't really feel like Halloween at all. When i woke up it was snowing! scared me because there was so many outside like a blizzard, and then it slowly died off.

Jacky and i went to Hamilton in the afternoon. There was a Revlon and Johnson&Johnson sale going on that i wanted to check out. I bought a few random items and then we drove by McMaster University to take a peek. Their were students having picnics outside all dressed up in their costumes and carving pumpkins. I miss that, i haven't carved one in sooooo long!

Once we got back, we went to Shirley's house to get our costumes ready for Halloween. We decided to go to Church St. for Halloweek again. I wore my old nurse costume from the year before.

Nurse and death

Nurse and semi vampire with claws
Church St. was fun. But i think last year was better, defiantly a lot more better costumes last year than this year for sure. Still a lot of people though, i love seeing people dress up.

IT'S SO FUZZYYYYY!!!!
Alice in wonderland!

Sesame St. Family!
The best costume ever!

Facebook, i pod and headphones!

Too cold to look good

Oh the hilarity!
Next year, i will defiantly get a new costume and do something other than go to church st hahaha. At least i got my candy fix! Woot Woot....!
