Lady Gaga and Katy Perry Concert

Hi Loves!

This month has been busy!!! Lady Gaga and Katy Perry were both in Toronto this month and their concerts were one week apart from each other.

The first one i went to was the Lady Gaga concert #artrave (with k-pop band Crayon Pop opening for her), being a fellow monster, i was super excited! Until i found out my seat sucked. I was pretty much at the edge of being behind the stage, so i couldn't really see anything unless i watched the giant screens or if she walked out onto the extended stage, but even then, she was tiny.

Regardless, the concert was AWESOME, her fans are really out of this world, so many people dressed up, wrote her letters and threw her hand made items. She being such a sweetheart, read one of her fan letters out loud, which was very sad by the way, and she invited her up to the stage to sing "Born this way" with her.

First things first, gotta have an early dinner at #bigfatburrito mmm…so yums

The very next week was KATY PERRRRRRYYYYYYYYY! 
This was part of her #prismaticworldtour and she was in Toronto for 3 days! I was definitely more excited for this one, maybe because i knew i had better seats. But she was super awesome! Really kept the crowd going, my bum was out of the chair throughout the full two hours.

Ferras and Capital Cities opened for her, they were both very exciting as well.

I'd love to see them again, concerts are so much fun. it it wasn't a weekday, i would have wore a wig and dressed up like all the other kiddies too =D

Churros!

I went to the Taste of Little Italy festival this weekend, i was a bit disappointed though because there weren't a lot of food that i liked. Maybe i went to early, or maybe be venders were too busy watching the soccer game to open their booths but it wasn't that exciting this year.

However, i still got my beloved CHURROS! omg i love churros like you would not believe! Unfortunately i only see them around during festivals. Caramel and churros with cinnamon is so omnomnomnomnom

Sporting Life 10k Marathon

My first marathon ever! I'm so happy my friend convinced me to join. Now i find running to be very enjoyable. I've been jogging everyday at the park and i'm glad i didn't call it quits yet.

This marathon is supporting Camp Oochigeas for kids with cancer. I'm glad it's going to such a good cause.

CNE!

This is such a backdated post, supposed to be up long time ago.

So i try to go to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) at least once a year, because somewhere inside of me is still a big kid who wants to go on kiddie rides, eat cotton candy and win stuffed animals.
Unfortunately this year was pretty rushed. We didn't have time to go over to the Ontario Place, or go on kiddie rides. We walked around, played some games and did a bit of shopping.

We went to the Sand scultptures exhibition where amazing people make these awesome, extremely detailed sculptures out of just sand.

The boyfriend also won me a GIANT karate Domo! I loveeeeee <3 But i wanted the naked domo with the round eyes instead of this angry domo with karate clothes. I went around to a few other vendors that had the same prizes but they didn't exchange it for me, which i thought was pretty mean. Oh well, i'm growing to like this angry domo, it's okay.

See that booth behind me? I was so tempted to try the deep fried mars bar or deep fried twinkie, but the boyfriend does not believe in unhealthy carnival foods so i didn't get to try :( See, even Domo isn't happy about it.

I wish i went again before they closed but there was no time. I will make better time next year for sure!

Taiwan Festival and FOTD

The past weekend, the boyfriend and i went to the Taiwan Festival that was hosted by Telus downtown at the Harbourfront Centre. It was...small...quite disappointing. I thought it was going to be like the Asian night markets with tons of booths filled with yummy food. But no...there were only 4 booths that sold food.
We went on the first day, and i don't know it the people were unprepared but we lined up for nearly an hour with the line barley moving for a bowl of soup (that wasn't so great) and a Taiwanese Oyster pancake (better than the soup).

Aside from food there was also some dancing and vendors selling random things. Harbourfront is always a nice place to go to relax, it has a great view of Toronto and we get to see the calmer side of things.
